Dan and Barb live in Muskegon, MI and keep in touch with family and friends through this web page (Padre Enterprises) found at www.danseagren.us and via e-mail, telephone, snail mail and occasional visits.  Their daughter, Laurie, is married to Gary Holmquist and they have two children: Cecilia (Cici) and Peter.  They make their home in Edina, MN.  Their son, Scott, lives in Geneva, IL with his wife, Edel.

Cecilia (Cici) Anne Holmquist

Cecilia, born in China, became a USA citizen on December 12, 2000, at the tender age of four and one-half years.  She joins her paternal grandmother, Signe Meyer and her late maternal grandmother, Selma Hill as naturalized citizens, both immigrants from Sweden.  Congratulations, Cici.  Welcome to the good ol' USA.

PS  Cici was explaining to us, on Sunday [April 22, 2001], how Jesus was crucified.  Garbo asked who killed Jesus.  She thought about it and then concluded, "Well, it was really Jesus' fault that he died on the cross, because he wanted us to go heaven."  Out of the mouth of babes . . . Cici is now in the 3rd grade in a French Immersion School, part of the public school system in Edina. She is active in everything from gymnastics, swimming to ice skating and scooting about on roller blades.  4/2005

Peter was born on September 10, 1999 and is a blond bomber. He is tireless, all boy, runs, jumps and keeps everyone hopping. The Holmquist family is kept on its toes and they love every minute (almost) of it.  Like his sister, he too is a charmer.  He loves to talk on the phone.  His current conversation goes something like this: Hi Papa or Hi Nana and off he goes. Peter is now five, is in Preschool, and enjoys life. Cici, now eight, enjoys her little brother and they are the best of pals.      4/2005

Laurie works for Delta Airlines and keeps busy as a "soccer mom" which amazes her parents with her boundless energy. Gary still works from home and enjoys crunching financial numbers and soon will take up soccer as one of the coaches. Peter will also be involved.
